What a Thanksgiving week! We got to spend it with so much of our family and we had an absolutely amazing time. Last Sunday Kris' mom and sisters flew into town to kick-off the holiday.
I always enjoy seeing my sister-in-laws and getting into our crazy antics together:
Tiffany (aka Tia) spent the whole week with us while Grandma Suzie visited Aunt Myriam and Jen spent some time with cousins Karla and then Regina. Tia was a great help and Sophie and Jack had a ton of fun playing with her:
Thanksgiving was at our house for the very first time! We think it was pretty successful! It helped a ton that everyone brought dishes, so Kris and I were only responsible for the turkey, one of the stuffings (yes, we had 3) and setting the place up. We had 26 people in our little place, but we made it work! Here's Sophie on Turkey Day:
Here's how we crammed everyone in at the tables!
Tio and Tia:
We felt very lucky this year because we were able to celebrate the holiday with both sides of our family at once. My parents came down to join in the celebration, and of course Uncle Brandon is living with us, so it was special to have almost everyone at the same time.
Me with my mom, who was very helpful with her turkey tips and making her oyster stuffing (always a hit) and yummy mashed potatoes!
Here's papa feeding Jack his green bean lunch:
Our attempt at a family Thanksgiving picture:
Grandma Suzie with Jack:
Papa took control of the 22.5lb turkey -- for his first time, I'd say he did a great job! Too bad I didn't actually make sure it made it into this picture!
The Grandpas with the Grandkids:
And of course on Friday we had to be sure to cheer on Nebraska football! Go Huskers!
Jack and Tio, just hanging out:

Papa and Jack playing around:
We've had great family time over the last few days. It will be hard to get back into our regular routine, but it's even harder to imagine it's now time to set up for the whirlwind of Christmas! Next week we'll be getting our tree, so stay tuned for more pictures soon. Hope you're all well and had a Happy Thanksgiving!
