Almost 1
I cannot believe that in 2 days our baby girl will be turning one year old. I have been reminiscing quite a bit this past week and feel like this year has been one big blur. I can clearly remember the day she came into our lives but it is difficult to remember those first few weeks as we were operating in a sleepless haze the entire time!

And now here's a picture from just a few days ago. I managed to snap a quick one as she was standing all by herself. (Her latest thing is putting her arms up above her head while she stands!).
She continues to amaze us with how many things she recognizes and her ever blossoming personality. We can go through her entire "ABC" book and ask her to point to certain things and she will (ie, banana, cow, cat, umbrella, strawberry, zebra, etc). It is so fun now that we know she understands what we're saying to her! She has also developed quite a "look" when she thinks mama or papa are just being crazy and she disagrees with us...it looks a little bit like this:
Kris and I now have to start realizing we are closer to having a toddler on our hands. It will be hard to stop referring to her as the baby, but just looking at her each day reminds us that she is becoming more of a little girl.
Her appetite is still excellent. She now eats anything that we do, which means I no longer have to make her a separate meal for dinner. Most nights she's open to trying and eating anything, though she does go through a few picky phases. That said, I feel very lucky that she's such a good eater!
We have quite the birthday week coming up so my next post may be delayed for a while. We are heading to Disneyland on Tuesday for the big day! You can expect plenty of pictures from that. We will then head up the coast to visit both sets of grandparents and to also celebrate papa's 30th birthday (this Thursday). Have a great week everyone!
