Christmas Chatter

It's been a busy week full of Christmas shopping and gift wrapping! Sophie enjoys going in the "fun" stores (ie the ones with toys) but any time I step into a department store she somehow knows that means long browsing time for mama and decides she doesn't want to have anything to do with it. Needless to say, that made for some stressful shopping this week, but we have most of it done now so hopefully we won't have to worry about too many more episodes. We're trying to explain the concept of Santa to her and that he only visits good girls who don't squeal at the top of their lungs in malls! We'll see if it works...

She really seems to be understanding the excitement of Christmas and has learned a few new words. She is trying to talk all of the time now! Half of it is gibberish but we can make out plenty of it and sometimes she surprises us both with what she says. Because of the Christmas rush this week, I didn't take many photos but I do have a video to share of her "Christmas chatter." Enjoy!
