For some reason, it really hit me this week that Sophie is much more a little girl now, rather than an older baby/young toddler. Every time I look at her I am overwhelmed by how much she's grown and changed lately.

Her vocabulary is growing with leaps and bounds and she is almost speaking in complete sentences now, which constantly takes me by surprise. She also loves the ABCs and can almost sing them on her own. We are working on her recognizing her numbers as well. While we were in the grocery store the other day she was pointing to a lot of the price tags and shouting "2! 8! 4! 9!" She is just a little sponge who loves learning new things and is still obsessed with reading her books over and over (and over) again. She is still very much a fan of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and loves to shout and point at all the characters on the screen. The other morning she was shouting "Mama! Minnie is dancing!" and I turned to find her holding her stuffed Minnie, making her dance to the songs on the cartoon. It was priceless. Here she is giving her Minnie a hug:

Last week we went with our mommy meet-up group to a Noah's Ark exhibit at the Skirball Cultural Center in LA. It was a hands-on exhibit where the kids were able to play and climb on a bunch of different animals and displays. They had huge walrus chairs that Sophie got a kick out of -- I think she liked their long "teeth." She seems to be thinking "don't eat me!" in this one:

The blue walrus was definitely her friend and it took some coaxing to get her to climb down and explore something else!

Here she is "cooking" up some food for her friends on the ark:

And she was very excited to see the camels! Here she is riding one like a big girl:

This was another thing she was attached to which required some convincing to get her to climb down!

This should be a beautiful, relaxing week. The sun is shining and it is 80 degrees today! We are enjoying the warm weather and taking advantage of some quiet time at home. We hope you're all well and please check back again soon.
