Are You Ready For Some Football?

It's hard to believe we are already in the middle of September, with October barreling down on us! Time sure does fly. We are ready for the cooler Fall weather here at the McFarren house, and enjoyed just that this past week (though apparently we are headed for some more triple digits next weekend).

The house has been been abuzz with football, football, football for the past few weekends. Jack is quickly learning to become a fan:

I was shocked when on Thursday night Sophie actually ran over to the couch after dinner and said "Mama, please put football on!" I swear Kris must be brainwashing her ;)

We don't have a lot to report so I'll share some more pictures from the past couple of weeks. Kris is happy to now have a little helper washing the cars.
She made Mama's car nice and shiny and loved every minute of it:
Jack is still very playful and we can't believe he's already trying to figure out how to crawl. He gets on his tummy and squirms his way around to get to where he wants to be. He's constantly rolling all over the place too and I can't just leave him and walk away for a minute anymore!
They are 2 peas in a pod. They love playing together. Jack starts to get antsy in the mornings when Sophie is not yet awake (since he wakes up at least an hour before her every day). He stares at the monitor on my nightstand and starts talking to it and reaching for it as if he's trying to wake her up. When we finally do go in to get her he gets a huge smile on his face and leans down right away to give her a morning kiss. It's the sweetest thing and she happily wakes up and says "Hi Jack!"It's definitely hard to believe we have an almost 2 1/2 year old and a 5 month old on our hands! Where does the time go?
