She's such a big girl now! It's so fun seeing all the papers she brings home of work she's done and hearing her stories about the other kids in the class.
The one that has had a hard time adjusting is Jack. The first two days he cried when we had to drop Sophie off and walk away from her. He will occasionally ask for her in the mornings when it's just the two of us, but I think he's starting to realize he gets all of the toys to himself so it's not such a bad deal.
And the little monkey finally got his haircut! We went much shorter and for more of a big boy cut. He likes to tap the top of his head and say "spikey."
He's getting so big so fast!
Over the weekend mama and papa took a quick trip to Vegas while the kiddos stayed home with Grandma Robin and Grandpa Gordon. Apparently they had quite the party with balloon playtime, tons of new games and homemade pizza and cookies! It was a hit and I have a sneaking suspicion the kids want mom and pops to go away more often ;)
We had a great "grown-up" weekend with my friends Carrie & Preeti and their husbands. It had been 3 years since we'd all been together so this was long overdue!
I was so happy too because my bestie Erin was able to meet up with us on Saturday night!
Kris and I couldn't believe we were getting dressed up to have a night out -- and one that lasted past 10pm!
We had a great time and have to once again thank my parents for watching the kiddos. This weekend should be the first quiet one we've had in a while, which will be a nice relaxing change for us. Hope you're all well and check back soon.
