The Great Pumpkins

This weekend we took our annual trip to our local pumpkin patch.  We had great fall weather for it too! Of course, everyone else had the same idea, so it was very crowded, but we still managed to see everything and have a great time.

Here we are, on our annual pumpkin patch train ride:

The kids in the hay maze -- Jack was thrilled he could chase Sophie around in it this year:

They ran all over the place looking at every single pumpkin (there are tons of pumpkins!) Jack even tried climbing and sitting on them, until he realized that wasn't so comfy.  I took pictures, but we're experiencing some blogger difficulties (more on that later) so I was only able to post a select few this time.

Last Friday we had Jack's 18 month check up with the pediatrician.  We are happy to report he's a healthy, growing boy! He's even moved up a bit in weight and height.  He's now in the 28th percentile for weight (better than 12th!) and 38th percentile for height.  He was super shy with the doctor, but I'll take that over the screaming he did at his last check-up.  This time he was very calm and clingy with me and only cried when he got his shots.  Every time the doctor asked him a question he responded in a whisper, which was pretty funny.  The doc said he could tell he was very alert and smart, which we're always happy to hear.  Sophie is usually the star of the doctor's office, since she always sings to the staff when she goes in.  Needless to say, their pediatrician was disappointed she wasn't with us this time since she was in preschool.  I'm just happy my kids seem to enjoy going to their doctor!

We have some news regarding this blog.  I originally intended to do this posting on Sunday, but during my attempt, I received a notice that I've maxed out my "free" photo uploads and they will start charging me! After 3.5 years of this blog, I was pretty disappointed to see that.  So we have a few decisions to make.  Should we continue with the blog? Are there enough followers out there? If we continue, I imagine I'll start up a new blog at a different address (to avoid the fee).  Or perhaps we'll end it all together? I do enjoy knowing I'm keeping family and friends updated with the kids since we're all so spread apart. I do often post updates on Facebook as well, though I know not all of you are Facebook users.  So....I'm pondering what we'll do.  If you have an opinion on the matter, feel free to let me know :)  Until then...stay tuned...
