Father's Day and a Swim

Happy Father's Day! Apologies for the delay in blog posts this week. Sophie came down with a cold mid-week last week so we've been a bit out of routine. Luckily she is feeling better now, so it's nothing to worry over.
We had a nice and relaxing weekend. We celebrated Uncle Brandon's 24th birthday on Friday, though unfortunately I don't have any pictures to show for it. We also had Grandma Robin and Grandpa Gordon in town. They were nice enough to watch Sophie for us on Saturday so that we could attend a friend's baby shower and have a rare date night out.

We tried to give papa a nice, relaxing Father's day. Here he is with one of his gifts...a picture book of Sophie and him for his first year of father-hood. I think it was a hit :)

Despite her cold, Sophie had a great time playing with Grandma and Grandpa this weekend. Here she is while playing ball with Grandma:
Before she caught her cold last week, we were surprised by papa coming home in time for Sophie's 2nd swim lesson! Here they are playing a little before heading to the pool (notice the pigtails? Her hair is JUST long enough for them now!):
Waiting patiently to head to the pool:
Papa decided he wanted to participate in the swim lesson, so mama was able to snap a few pictures. Kick, Sophie, kick!:
It was great seeing papa out there with all the other moms and their kids:
"Mama! Come in too!":
I think Sophie is feeling better enough today so we can go back to swim class (after missing 2). I hope all you fathers out there had a GREAT Father's Day!
