A Mover and a Shaker

Hello again! I decided to title this blog "Mover and Shaker" because it appears that's exactly what we have on our hands. Somehow it's like a magic switch clicked on the day she turned one and I can no longer get her to sit still or pay attention to one toy for more than 5 seconds. Diaper changes are a lot more fun too -- the kid can squirm and I wish I had 6 arms instead of 2. So with that in mind, this blog is full of pictures and videos that demonstrate her newfound curiosity and energy!

The other day she decided to push her new play table all the way from the living room into the kitchen. I have no clue why she did this. She's pretty good about not playing in the kitchen but apparently she really wanted to be in there that day.

She is having a blast playing with all of her new birthday toys. Kris calls this one the "Dentist" toy (seeing as it's often found in doctor or dentist offices) but this is one she actually picked out herself with a gift card that was given to her. While in Target I kept asking which toy she wanted and I swear to you she kept pointing to this one over and over...

She is becoming more of a "ham" with the camera too. This is one of several pictures I was able to take of her where she didn't actually try to attack the camera and chew on it (her normal pattern for the last several months!).
As many of you know, Sophie LOVES books. Well, now she just can't decide which one she wants to read....this was the aftermath of her emptying her bookshelf...
I love the mischievous look on her face...
She continues to work on her standing! She loves to practice and gets a huge grin on her face when she manages to hold herself up for a bit.
