Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! We have had a busy but fun-filled weekend. I am going to let the pictures do most of the talking in this blog because I am exhausted.

Thursday night we carved our pumpkins -- Sophie was very curious about what was happening, and very excited!
"Ooooh, what's inside my pumpkin, papa?"
"Look at his hat!"
"I love my jack-o-lantern!"
The McFarren pumpkins -- can you tell which one is papa's?
On Friday we drove up to San Jose for a quick visit with Grandma Suzie, Grandpa Glenn and family. Sophie was treated to a new soccer ball and loved kicking it around in their backyard!
On Saturday, Grandpa Glenn and papa were on baby duty -- can you tell how they spent their day?
And I had a day away at my best friend's baby shower! It was fun to see each other with our baby bumps and celebrate together in person.
This morning we drove home and had a few hours of down time before getting Sophie into her Halloween costume and heading out for her first-ever trick-or-treating! She was the prettiest ladybug I've ever seen :)
She caught on to the idea very quickly and even started digging into our candy basket before we left the house!
Ladybug Sophie with "Papa" Smurf:
"This is so cool walking around the neighborhood in the dark with the big kids!"
She had a great time going house to house but only really said "trick or treat" as we were walking around and would clam up once she actually got to the door. She loved getting the candy though and barely made it inside our door before sitting down and digging through her bucket!

We hope you all had a great Halloween weekend!
