Happy March everyone! Can you believe it's here? We are a little more than a month away from meeting our newest family member (less if my prediction of him coming early is right). I am taking it easy though I still feel like I have so much to do to prepare for little man's arrival. I am also trying to just spend as much time as possible enjoying every minute of Sophie and mama time while we still have it.
One thing I haven't shared on here is Sophie's love of music. If I get around to it, I'll try to take a few videos that show off her singing and dancing skills. Her favorite song is Usher's "DJ's Got Us Falling in Love" which she calls the "Eyes Song" because of a lyric. Every time we get in the car she says "Eyes song mama!!" since she knows I have the CD ready to go. She's also a huge Lady Gaga and Katie Perry fan -- as soon as one of their songs come on she recognizes is right away and says "Oh, good song" or "Lady Gaga on mama!" Another favorite of hers is Bruno Mars who she affectionately refers to as Bruno. I know some of the lyrics of many of these songs may be inappropriate but she's still so young she has no clue what they are about so I feel like it's harmless and love that she's showing a variety of taste in music (she also loves Michael Buble). Don't worry, she enjoys great kids tunes too and knows almost all the words to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Baa, Baa Black Sheep. Yesterday she somehow managed to sweet talk the cashier at our grocery store into blowing up a balloon just for her. Sophie LOVES balloons and she was so excited to be given a red one. It was very cute watching her play with it so I couldn't help but take a bunch of pictures:
