9 Months

It is so hard for me to believe, but my baby boy is already 9 months old! Where does the time go?

He is such a happy, healthy baby.  He is constantly on the move and crawling all over the place!

I turned my back for a second the other day, and when I turned back around, I saw this:

I guess he's trying to get into weight lifting already :)

We had his 9 month check up with the doctor today.  Although he's still only in the 20th percentile for weight, he's a healthy 18.8lbs and his doctor said he's growing and developing very well.  He's also dropped to the 20th percentile for height, but he didn't' seemed concerned by this and thinks maybe there was an error in the measurement, given the constant squirming of my child!

 His motor skills are excellent and Kris and I are fully expecting him to walk before his first birthday.  He's constantly pulling himself up on things now and "cruising!"

Jack is a great eater too and I think by the end of this month he will be eating table food exclusively.  It's now still a supplement to his baby food, but I'm able to find something off our plate at each meal for him to try and he hasn't had a problem with anything yet.  He even tried tiny pieces of chicken and steak the other night (SUPER tiny pieces considering the kid still doesn't have teeth!) and he was eager for more!

Sophie loves that Jack is so mobile.  I was trying to post a video clip of the two of them playing and laughing with each other, but I guess it was too long because it was taking FOREVER to post so I gave up.  I'll try to take a shorter one to share, because it warms my heart to see him chasing after her and hear them both laughing and squealing together.  Her latest thing is to run to the other room and scream "Jack! Jack! Where are you?! Come here!" and laughs as he comes charging over as fast as he can on all 4's.  Very cute :)

Sophie is doing well and continues to amaze us with how grown up she's getting.  Tonight we had calamari steaks for dinner (yummy, thanks Papa!) and she exclaimed "Mmmm, this is the best calamari I've had in my whole life!" Yes, she's a good eater too :)
