A Week Away & Back Again

Well, we've been busy the last couple of weeks.  Sophie, Jack and I have been in Avila Beach for the past week or so helping my mom recover from her 3rd back surgery (let's hope it's her 3rd and FINAL).  We also celebrated Grandma Robin's 55th birthday while we were there.  Sophie loves to sing the "happy birthday" song to people, so she was happy to have another occasion for it.

The kids were really good sports being away from home for a week.  They were especially well behaved while we visited Grandma in the hospital, which I was honestly a bit nervous about! But they got some great play time in back at Grandma's house:

I love this picture of Jack, I caught him just as he was about to "attack" Sophie!

The kids were also great help with Grandma's recovery.  She's supposed to have short frequent walks throughout the day.  We all got a kick out of the "train" of walkers...Coco kitty was in the lead, followed by Sophie and then Grandma:

The kids also got to spend some quality time with Great Grandma & Grandpa Burgess who were helping out as well.  I love that they had a whole week with them and I know they had great fun with them both!

More play time (Jack with his nose in the toy bin):

It was hard being away from Papa for the entire week, but we were happy to see him on Friday when he came up for the last weekend.  He was greeted with huge smiles from his girls:

We're hoping Grandma Robin feels better soon! Hopefully having the kiddos around for the week helped brighten her spirits and she will be feeling good again soon!

In other news, Jack is going to be 10 months old this Thursday! He's getting so big and we really feel like he's close to walking.  He loves the big boy bath now.  It's great because we can bathe them both at the same time now!

He loves it so much, he cries every time we take him out!  He's also been working on mastering his sippy cup for the past month or so.  He's just about got it down now (when he's not trying to knock it off the high chair!).

Hope you're all well and check back again soon!
