This weekend we were spoiled with exceptionally warm Spring-like weather. We couldn't resist the chance to take the kids to the park for the first time this year. Jack really enjoyed it (last time he was at the park, he was confined to his infant carrier and had no clue what was happening). This time he was squealing in delight and trying to talk about everything he was seeing. He was also dying to get down and crawl around in the dirt and the grass. Because he has sensitive skin, I didn't let him, but we'll remember a huge blanket for next time (if he's not walking by then). Sophie was excited to bring out the airplane from last year and fly it with papa. I think our next investment may have to be a kite with all the wind we have here.
"I can do it on my own, papa!"
Crash landing:
"Please mom, just let me get down!"
I know Jack will be thrilled once he's big enough to fly the plane too!
Our little guy is ready for his first hair cut...we think that may be coming up on this weekend's agenda:
Sophie exploring the playground:
I thought this was a funny picture of him -- for some reason when he tries to get down from standing, he ends up in the splits:
We've had a case of the grumps the last few days -- hopefully the changing weather will bring happier moods!
