It's hard to believe April is already here and our little monkey will be turning one in just 8 days! It's a beautiful spring day here and we hope you are all enjoying one too.
For the past couple of weeks we have been passing a nasty cold around our house, which is why there's been a delay in posts. I'm sorry to say it started with me, then I passed it along to Sophie, who passed it to Jack and now Kris officially has it. We are hoping to get it completely out of the way before our big weekend next weekend with Easter and Jack's birthday.
This morning we had our usual coupon-clipping Sunday routine. Jack participated for the first time, and I couldn't resist the photo-ops.
"What mom? We're just looking for some good deals."
"Ooooh, look .... a good one for pizza -- my favorite!"
Everyone keeps asking us if Jack is walking yet. The answer to that is "no" and I'm okay with it because my world will completely change once he gets the hang of it! He is definitely close though, and I am preparing myself for the day to come very soon. He is getting more and more confident using his toy walker around the house:
He is so proud of himself and I know he wants to keep practicing so he can keep up with Sophie. He also stood on his own for a full 15 seconds yesterday (which is his new record) so like I said, we are close.
I think Sophie had the cold the worst out of all of us and we are so happy she's feeling better now. She was pretty miserable for several days, and it always breaks my heart o see her that way.
But, I'm happy to report that our goofy, silly princess is back:
