We Survived the Weekend

I can officially say we made it through the weekend with minimal baby excitement! There were a few moments here and there when I wasn't quite sure she would hold out, but with all of us talking to her and encouraging her to let us get through Uncle Brandon's graduation day, she held out, which I'm especially thankful for! We had a busy but fun weekend full of family! My sister and her family came into town late Thursday night and stayed through Sunday morning. My parents joined us on Friday, so we had a full house, but it was great to have family with us for such an exciting time.

And we're very proud of Brandon! Here's a great picture of him becoming an official college graduate!

I will honestly say that sitting through the ceremony was a bit of a challenge, but luckily it wasn't as hot as it could have been and I was just so proud to be there and excited to see my brother graduate, that it made it all worth it.

We all had a great time with extended family and friends at his graduation party too. It's always so fun for us to see family since we don't get the chance often enough. I especially love seeing our nephews (my sister's boys). Here's a picture I couldn't resist taking of my youngest nephew, Brendan. Apparently eating apples with a straw is much more fun than the "normal" way. All the things I have to look forward to with our own little one! I am feeling great and seem to finally be coming out of this cold I've battled for the past week or so. I definitely feel my body making all the necessary "adjustments" and honestly believe something could happen this week. Fingers are crossed she waits for grandma (my mom) to come back tomorrow so that we have some company until dad rushes home from work! Otherwise, I'm sure things will get started after our next visit to the doctor on Thursday. We'll continue to keep everyone updated!! Have a great week!

  1. Hang in there Kristi...it'll happen soon. In the meantime I suggest watching movies or a favorite TV show (we had a Friends marathon while we waited for Landon to come).

    Love ya!
