Can you believe it? Sophie is almost 6 months old! We're just about 2 weeks out, but because of the holidays quickly approaching, and our crazy schedules, we had her 6 month check-up yesterday.
We are happy to be able to again say we have a very healthy baby girl. She now weighs a whopping 17 lbs and is 26 inches long. Yes, this keeps her in the 80th percentile for weight and the 75th percentile for height. Everything checked out great and we get to take her back in 2 weeks (when she's officially 6 months) for her flu vaccine.
She continues to hit her milestones, though sitting on her own is still something she's not too interested in. Her newest trick is rolling everywhere! Of course, she only likes to roll one way, so when she hits the wall, she's pretty much stuck. I'm just kidding, of course I stop her before she hits the wall -- that is, when she's not too fast for me! Here's a quick little video showing off her rolling skills. Most of the time I catch her rolling down the hallway - it's pretty funny!
This weekend we're spending time with Grandma Robin and Grandpa Gordon. I'm sure we'll have pictures from the visit so check back again soon.
Ah! Time sure does fly! I am glad that Sophie got a clean bill of health and is growing strong. I must tell you that Brandon was 28 inches and 18 1/2 pounds at his 9 month check-up so Sophie has almost caught him! I hope you have a nice visit with your parents and that your mom's recovery is going well too.
