Superbowl Splits

We hope you all enjoyed your Superbowl weekend! We had a couple of friends over for the game and plenty of food. Since Kris and I were both rooting for the Saints, it was a nice end to our week!

As I mentioned in my last post, we spent last week with my mom (aka Grandma Robin). Sophie and I loved having her stay with us. Grandpa Gordon came on Friday to spend the last few days as well. Sophie had a great time playing with them both. She has recently become fascinated with computers. As you can see in the picture below, she didn't want Grandpa to work -- she wanted to play on his laptop instead!



She has also discovered another new favorite toy -- the doorstop. Kris calls her a cat because she just sits and bats at it and can't seem to get enough. It's pretty funny to watch...until she pulls it off and tries to put it in her mouth...
Today I had to do a double take because she was practically doing the splits! She's trying all sorts of different ways to figure out how to go from sitting to crawling. I always say that I think we have a dancer on our hands but I think the next two pictures prove it! See what you think...
For my dancer friends...you'll recognize this stretch...Sophie has learned one other new trick over this past week. It may be because I started by teaching her the funny noises she can make with her hand and her mouth....needless to say, she finds it pretty funny and I've caught her doing this quite often! So I'll end the blog with the video below....hopefully it brings a smile to your face!
