Happy holiday weekend everyone! We hope you all had a Happy Valentine's Day and are now enjoying the Monday holiday :)
Last week went by in a bit of a blur for me because I was in denial the whole time about turning 30 ;) Kris and Sophie made sure I had a very special birthday so I can't really complain too much about it. I even convinced Sophie to take a birthday picture with mama, so here it is:

It's so nice to top off my birthday week with a holiday weekend and extra time to spend together as a family. Kris was able to come home a bit early on Friday (though that was time I spent at the doctor for a sprained wrist) and he's been extra helpful with the baby all weekend long.
We had a very special Valentine's Day! It started off with beautiful weather and a nice walk in the morning to get some fresh and yummy bagels. I don't think we've shared a picture of Sophie in our jogging stroller, so here she is all buckled in and ready to go!

The weather was so gorgeous, it was the perfect day for a picnic in the park. Sophie was so excited to watch all of the other kids running around and enjoying the sunshine. I could tell she just can't wait until she's big enough to do the same! Here are some pictures from our park time:

Playing with mama --and grabbing a huge hand-full of hair -- one reason why mama usually always has her hair back in a ponytail!

Since it was her first Valentine's Day, we decided to treat Sophie to a new toy from Target. Seeing as she loves computers lately, we decided to get her her own "laptop":

This is her face when she realized it played music -- it's her super happy "this is so cool" face that is somewhat new:

I'll end this post with our attempt at our own family picture at the park yesterday. Have a great week!
