Originally I was going to start this blog off by apologizing because last week I was horrible about taking pictures. Then I'd planned on posting a couple videos of Sophie in action... Well, for the past few days I've tried posting all different sizes of videos and have had no luck! At first I thought it was our slow computer, but then I just received an error message from blogger so I think it may be a combination of trouble in both worlds. I'll keep trying though because I had some great videos of Miss Sophie in action (crawling, playing, laughing). So I have to apologize for no pictures AND no videos!
A quick highlight from last week was that Sophie started mimicking us. She doesn't do it always, but there have been a few clear times. I started raising my arms and saying "ta-da!" with her every now and then once we accomplished something, and the other day she did it back to me! It was the cutest thing ever! She performed for her papa later the same day so I have an eye witness to support my claim ;) Of course I've spent many days since then trying to catch it on video but she won't quite perform for the camera. A few other words that she's repeated back to us (just once) are "banana" (sounded more like "naaa-na") and yesterday she said "hi papa" over the phone to Kris. Now if I could just get her to say "mama" for me...
Check back toward the end of the week for more pictures and (hopefully) some videos. Sophie turns 9 months on Thursday!
