Life's a Beach

Yesterday we decided to escape the heat of our valley and headed to the beach! It was a gorgeous day and we had perfect weather! This time we went all out so that Sophie could truly enjoy a day in the sand. She was a bit unsure of it at first. She wanted to keep handing me the sand to "clean it up."
The water was surprisingly refreshing and not as cold as usual. Sophie was a little unsure of letting the waves get her, but she handled it really well!
As you can see, she got used to the sand quickly and it got everywhere!
Oooooh, let's build a sand castle, papa!
"I'll show you how it's done."
She took the job very seriously...
Look, tweet-tweets!! (seagulls)
She was pointing at the man having a tough time with his umbrella....it was pretty funny.
Here mama, have some seaweed...
She's definitely our California girl.
The rest of the weekend we spent relaxing and enjoying our time with our little girl who is growing up so fast!
I'll end this blog with a video of her dancing the other day. It was the funniest thing! You can also see her walking a little bit in the end of the video. She is walking everywhere these days!
