Merry Go Round and Round....and Round

Hi all! We had a nice long weekend with a visit from Tiffany and Dan (aka Tia and Tio). Sophie had a great time playing with them!

On Saturday we all headed over to Griffith Park. Here Sophie is checking out all the fun sights at the park with papa:
We started the day off with our first ride on the Merry-Go-Round...
Somehow papa convinced mama to put Sophie on her own horse with the two of us holding her on each side. Let's just say it wasn't our smartest parenting decision ever. The ride was super fast and Sophie wasn't too thrilled about it at all. We had to keep a ninja-like grip on her the entire time while holding ourselves steady. We were very glad when it came to a stop and we just hope we didn't traumatize her for merry-go-rounds in the future!
After the dizzy adventure, we headed over to the "train depot" at the park, which was much more our speed. Here we are waiting in line for our train. Sophie was much happier and having fun with her new pinwheel:

This weekend was filled with a lot of fun play time with Tia and Tio visiting. Sophie loved digging up all of her toys for them:
And of course we managed to get in some good pool time too. Here Sophie can barely stand the wait as papa puts more air in her fish floatie:
Yay! Papa's done and we can head to the pool!
Sophie is so expressive these days. I couldn't resist posting this one. It was taken right after Kris made some silly comment. You can see how she's becoming more of a little girl. It's almost as if she's saying "oh please, papa."
