Kris and I had our first parental scare over the weekend. Remember those adorable grunting noises I described in my last blog? Well they started increasing and it seemed as though she was having trouble breathing, so on Sunday we headed over to urgent care (since our Pediatrician's office was closed). Luckily they had a Pediatrician on staff and he listened to her lungs and x-rayed the poor little girl's chest. We were given the "all-clear" and were told to just give her saline nose drops because she may be coming down with the cold that Kris and I were fighting off before she was born. She doesn't have a fever or anything and no visible congestion, so I'm not quite sure where this grunting is coming from. I'm hoping to get more info from her official doctor this Thursday. In the meantime, we're keeping a close eye on our little piglet.
Other than that, things have been going well and we seem to be falling into a bit of a routine. We both think we've caught Sophie smiling at us from time to time -- I don't care how many books say it's "just gas" at this age -- I feel like she's actually smiling at us, so that's what I'll choose to believe :) Hopefully I can get a picture of her toothless smile soon and post for all to see!
